YAPI Notes from August 2004
Thank you to the performers and their fans who came out for
the first YAPI of the 2004 fall season. Many activities were conflicting
with the YAPI time so there were not many performers. However,
this gave each act an opportunity to play several songs. A good
time was had by all.
YAPI August News
YAPI was held on the back deck of Idlewild but a change is coming
soon. A coffee bar is being put in next door to Idlewild and
a new stage is being built in that back area which promises to
better accommodate groups of players. It should be done by the
September 2nd YAPI. The management at Idlewild is asking young
artists to come forth with ideas on how to decorate it and to
help with the process. Please spread the word to any young artists
who might be interested in helping with this project.
Please continue to spread the word about YAPI. YAPI provides
a safe and supportive environment for young people who want to share
their talents and explore performing.
