YAPI Notes from June 2004
Now that the weather is warmer YAPI has been moved outside
to the Idlewild deck which means drums are permissible.
Please spread the word that there will be NO YAPI in July but
YAPI will resume the first Thursday of August, August 5. Let’s
try to get as many performers as we can to start off the fall YAPI
season with a BANG! The more the merrier! See you then!
YAPI June News
We welcomed newcomer, violinist Ellie Mullins, age 6, accompanied
by her mother on piano. We also welcomed back Sahara Smith who
placed 2nd in the 2004 Prairie Home Companion Young Artist Competition.
It was a pleasure to hear the debut YAPI performance of the full
band, Ellen’s Brother. They rocked the back deck of Idlewild,
and so did Jordon Mallory, inspired by his new electric guitar.
Please continue to spread the word about YAPI. YAPI provides
a safe and supportive environment for young people who want to share
their talents and explore performing.
If you are reading this and would like to be added to the YAPI
email list, or if you know of anyone who would like to be added
to this list, please email your/their name and email address
to BFreed1@earthlink.net with “add to YAPI Mailing List” as the subject. Brenda
will send 2 emails/month: YAPI email reminders and news following
each YAPI.
