Words and music also go together well when Brenda Freed does a show. Freed and her crew will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at Joe's Crab Shack in the Quarry Market. Freed will be accompanied by Val Roessling (acoustic guitar), J.B. Braden (bass) and Michael Byrnes (drums). A singing songwriter who fuses writing chops with an expressive voice, Freed kind of falls into the country/folk category but can do everything from jazz to pure folk without dropping a note. The Freed Band is also a top-flight aggregation, able to deliver the musical goods while generating fun. |
