Suzanne Chesshire is a native Texan who lives in Wimberley, TX with her husband David and her singer/songwriter daughter, Sahara Smith. She is a writer/actress, but is best known as a playwrite whose work has been produced in various cities including Ausitn, Houston, Dallas and Santa Fe.  Her produced plays include, Surrender the Moon, Greylines and Bushounds, Chain Lightning and I Married an Ignoramus. She and one of her writing partners, Jo Carol Pierce have optioned two screenplays, Outside the System and Jacksboro Highway. Chesshire became interested in songwriting in 1996 when she met singer/songwriter Brenda Freed. She and Freed quickly became friends as well as collaborators on a number of songs which Freed has recorded.  

Currently, Suzanne is working with Jo Carol Pierce on a new theatrical piece and she is also looking forward to writing new songs with Brenda Freed in 2004.†
